Ok that’s a lie. But very very close to the truth. Honestly, this week I’ve been a little busy and I haven’t been home alot which explains my lack of anime. That and the fact that I’m feeling a little disappointed in the Spring season -__- . I’ve pretty much stopped watching Gaykery, Allison and Lilia, Slayers, Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto, Itazura na Kiss, Soul Eater, and the list goes on. I do believe I’ll go back and marathon most of these before the fall season hits I’m just not feeling motivated to watch them. The good news is that I’ve started (and almost finished) Aria The Animation ~

However, the world REALLY needs more Haruka.

I guess this is just one of those months where the list of things on my to-do list just seems to be getting longer and longer (and yes manga, I still remember your vectors that I have to finish).

So I thought to myself the other day, “man I haven’t been to bash.org in a while…” and wham!

I should have been more clear before, but here are the hosting details:
Bash is too big to be on a shared server.
We have a number of machines already, but are open to either colocating them or using a supplied machine.
Bandwidth is substantial but not ridiculous, remember we have no images, almost entirely text.
A trade or agreement can be made, but we try to:
A) keep the site free and clear of advertising clutter.
B) Not have substantial upkeep, as this is a hobby run by donated time and effort.

So, in effect, we offer some links to the host for their services, but no huge blocks of ads.
Thank you to everyone that has offered services thus far, there are too many to even respond to
and we genuinely appreciate the support from this great community.

I’m at least glad Naruto is back onto main storyline stuff… now if they would stop showing these stupid clips from the movies as the OP.

And Kagamin for Saimoe 2008! (it’s a shame Kaguya lost though… but at least she went down fighting, which is more than what I can say about Kaaya and he humiliating 157 vote exit)

So I will be away from work for 5 days in a row (although 4 days have already passed)… without taking a vacation! partially thanks to typhoon tropical cyclone Nuri which is a cooler name than Fay, but that’s not really the point of this post. I spent most of the past 4 days doing nothing except chatting on IRC, playing some GTA4, and watching AIRA The Animation.

First off, many thanks to pantherRH for bringing this to my attention in the dasaku IRC channel:

First thought that came to mind was “DO WANT!!!” … I’m particularly interested in the “Day of Saggitarius” getup. The other one is… if-SOS-dan-forms-a-band getup? Its also quite cute, except Kyon and Istuki look totally gay.

Honestly, I’m not too into figures. I’ve never owned a figure that cost more more than $15 USD (it was a red Canti figure .. unfortunately.. his head snapped off a few years back T_T). Also, the last time I bought these Nendoroid petits, I was going for Kagamin. Unfortunately, I got a Konata, Miyuki and even Tsukasa! And when I went back to the store… they were sold out T_T.

Anyways, according to Jop, if I buy a case of 12, I should at least expect getting the set of 10 (and maybe the secret figure if I’m lucky). However, he was refering to the Negima set he bough .. which is not a Nendoroid petit set from Good Smile Company, so it may not apply here. If I can find someone to buy the doubles off me.. then I won’t mind buying two crates of them (amounting to 24 .. which should definately get me the set… unless I’m super unlucky… which might actually happen). If anyone out there has bought a case of Nendoroid petite, please let me know if I can get the whole set (not including the secret figure) in a case of 12!!

Also, Nendoroid Shana and Hatsune Miku are on my watchlist (pre-order of Miku is already closed at HobbySearch, but Play-Asia still has some, albeit slightly more expensive).

And ohbytheway, Nendoroid.org is a great site with all the GSC Nendoroid released so far. I’m still waiting for the day when a Gurren Lagann Nendoroid set comes out.

Secondly, some funny developments fansub dorama (so what’s new?) over at Chihiro subs. The article itself is short and can be summed up in one line “someone deleted out tracker stuff and we lost all our subs… halp plz!”. Now, I don’t watch their stuff:

Taking a break from studying:

• I took the time today to finally look up what tl;dr actually meant. Am I behind? Probably.

• I checked-in with Author over at ani-nouto (which, although I have never mentioned before, has a “no comments” policy. Instead, Author uses blog posts to reply to subjects and expect others to do the same. It has generated some hate, but I actually think this is how the blog-o-sphere should work… IMO, comments are generally for those with one-line replies and flames, but I digress) only to find a link to some blog I never heard of named chizumatic. Under normal circumstances, I probably would not of stuck around for long over there, hell, I’m not even sure I would of been bored enough to even click on the link. However, the name chizumatic seems almost inspired by Mahoromatic and even though not every name with the “-matic” suffix is necessary related to Mahoro, the fact that it makes reference to Chizuko pretty much seals the deal (this would be confirmed later on somewhere, probably on the FAQ page). Anyways… uhh yeah. I guess its just nice to see some Mahoromatic inspired names once in a while…. its like we are NAME BROTHERS.

I wish I still had my Mahoromatic Art book and DVDs on me :( I miss that show, it’s got Meido, Mecha and Gainax! What more could I possibly ask for?

As usual there was absolutely no point to this post.

So I’ll be heading off on my (much needed R&R) trip to Vietnam in a few hours… maybe I’ll finally have time to write that Zero no Tsukaima S2 review ~_~;;  But I highly doubt it.

Just some other random thoughts (since I have to keep myself from sleeping…)

• Shana II went from crap… to a pretty ok ep 9 and 10 and back to crap again. They seriously need more melonpan! (I don’t remember the last ep where there was a melonpan in Shana II)
• Minami-ke is just getting better and better. “BOIL ME MINAMI !!!  BOOOOOOOOOOOIILLL MEEEEEEEEEE!!!”
• Naruto special actually looks good!! (Man the last Naruto special was probably the stupidest special ever….) Wow I can’t seem to recall the last time I was actually excited about Naruto! Maybe Shippuden Ep 1?
• Code Geass is a strange mix of Sunrise and CLAMP. Kinda like Red Wine and Rum, except you won’t throw up everywhere after.

Other non-anime related randoms…

• I have had my LGKU990 for about a week now… I love it.
• Looking forward to my PS3 hoho.. hopefully I can spend less time watching anime … there’s nothing that looks really good next year anyways (OH EXCEPT HARUHI S2 >=D)
• I’m damnnnnn tired.
