So Manga requested that I do a series of Macross Frontier vectors for him. The first one, above, is from the Ranka-Sheryl sing-to-make-Alto-my-boyfriend episode. There are only 2 resolutions, and I categorized it as a vector (as opposed to a wallpaper) since I felt that it is still missing something… but I’m not sure what. Unfortunately I’m not too interested in the screenshot right now, so I’ll let it sit (apparently Manga is satisfied so .. meh~).

This all started because I wanted a half decent banner with Haruhi and a Can of coke for my blog :( I’m too lazy to get a screencap of my source… but its based on the episode where they play baseball (in the original, Haruhi is hugging Miruku).

Time spent: too many hours.

So I had mentioned before that I wanted one of these. Well I never did get one. But I got a Wacom Intuos 3 instead. Oh yeah Hemi and Reactive think I should do random comics… like blissmo?

I recently watched a very enjoyable Shana-tan episode (Shakugan no Shana Second – Fumina Konoe Strikes Back!!), and to celebrate, a new wallpaper. Thanks to Jason for the inspiration (and the screencaps that I was too lazy to take).

I was going to use something else as the background, but I couldn’t think of a better way to incorporate Shana-tan’s “Melonpan Beamu” into it, but anyways. Enjoy.

Originally my post started off talking about memes in general. And i happen to stumble upon a site that declared Dragostea Din Tei an internet meme~ For those who know me, I have been in love with this song for years. When it first came out in 2003 I liked the song. Two years later, when I first heard Haiducii’s version, I loved it. I learned the lyrics to it. Funny thing was, I never once saw the video for it. Never. Until today.

What happened next? well… I think its easier to explain if you just watched it .

This was probably the least stellar episode of Clannad so far… but wasn’t bad. Nothing really stood out, that’s all. I guess we all still need time to recover from Fuuko and her ninja stars starfish of doom. Starfishes? (Whats the plural of Starfish? Starfish? bah!)

Few new things, mostly admin/webpage stuff.

1. If you havent seen it yet, series I review now have a ranking system after I finish the season. Note that I think of myself as a harsh judge and sometimes a ranking of 5/10 really isn’t THAT bad.

They go from 1 to 10 cans of coke:

• 1 – 3 = Diet Coke. Probably means it was terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone.
• 4 – 6 = Coke Zero. Not for everyone, but certain people will find it enjoyable.
• 7 – 9 = Coke. Gooooodd! I’d suggest everyone at least give it a try.
• 10 = Lime Coke. Its going on my “all time favorites” list.

2. I’ve been getting quite a bit of comment spam recently (its sad when youg et more spam comments than real comments XD). I have installed Spam Karma 2. Lets hope it works cause I read a while back that zEneme had some problems with it =(

3. Upgraded to Wordpress 2.3.1 Nothing too different.

That’s right, even Nagisa can use the Sh****gan.

Ok so this topic has been beaten to death by a rusty hammer. What I can summarize from all the blog posts and all the comments: nothing important was left out. (If you want REAL comparisons all the sites linked above have pretty screencaps showing the difference, the world doesn’t need more).

My personal thoughts? The fact that now I KNOW half the character’s faces are cut off because they can’t fit them in bothers me when I watch it in SD =( That and WS just feels… more spacious… just like how CLANNAD should be. I’ll probably continue to watch the SD first but since CLANNAD is so enjoyable, I’ll probably re-watch in HD as well.
