While Nagisa’s Yui’s words pretty much described my feelings for the first episode of K-ON! I mean the episode was great, I enjoyed the gags and the moe blobs, but it wasn’t anying amazing. But Mio,for me, stole the  show. Yes, its quite obvious that she already huge fan favourite of many, and the ED solidifies this fact.

That aside, is it just me or does Tsumugi remind me of Momoha from Manabi Stright? Maybe it is just me.

The Op itself was also not bad, abit happy-go-lucky for me, but addictive nonetheless:

But its the ED I wanted to talk about! First of all, I can’t KyoAni-fanboy more than I am now. Its just not humanly possible! It was very reminiscent of a typical Japanese music video. I’ve heard some complaints of it being out of place and such, but if you think about it, a music video is absolutely perfect fit for an ED. Its what (the popular) bands do right? Also, the facial expressions, the details, its amazing. /fanboying
But seriously, I can watch the video and just be drawn in by their facial expressions when they sing.

Oh and did Kyo-Ani just use Minami-ke’s patented \o/ and :< mouth combo?!?

And of course, the beautiful K-ON ED.

According to Gigazine’s website the “renewed” airing of The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suuzumiya anime series is 28 episodes long. Gigazine said that they had contacted the Teletama broadcasting station and a representative had reportedly told them that “we hear from the client that it is 28 episodes long.” J-Cast had also contacted Teletama upon hearing the news and they were told that the “renewed” airing will also include new material due to the planned 28 episode allotment. Interesting…

So, everyone.. tell me what you think KyoAni will do with 28 eps of Haruhi?

That be some major trollin’ there Atari (Atari will be doing the EU release). At least the English voiceover for ToV was good (actually I would daresay the English voiceover was excellent), but I’m a giant fart and would of loved the J Audio as well. And I’d be really pissed if Star Ocean 4 had dual audio, the English voiceovers make my ears bleed something awful.

So I will be away from work for 5 days in a row (although 4 days have already passed)… without taking a vacation! partially thanks to typhoon tropical cyclone Nuri which is a cooler name than Fay, but that’s not really the point of this post. I spent most of the past 4 days doing nothing except chatting on IRC, playing some GTA4, and watching AIRA The Animation.

First off, many thanks to pantherRH for bringing this to my attention in the dasaku IRC channel:

First thought that came to mind was “DO WANT!!!” … I’m particularly interested in the “Day of Saggitarius” getup. The other one is… if-SOS-dan-forms-a-band getup? Its also quite cute, except Kyon and Istuki look totally gay.

Honestly, I’m not too into figures. I’ve never owned a figure that cost more more than $15 USD (it was a red Canti figure .. unfortunately.. his head snapped off a few years back T_T). Also, the last time I bought these Nendoroid petits, I was going for Kagamin. Unfortunately, I got a Konata, Miyuki and even Tsukasa! And when I went back to the store… they were sold out T_T.

Anyways, according to Jop, if I buy a case of 12, I should at least expect getting the set of 10 (and maybe the secret figure if I’m lucky). However, he was refering to the Negima set he bough .. which is not a Nendoroid petit set from Good Smile Company, so it may not apply here. If I can find someone to buy the doubles off me.. then I won’t mind buying two crates of them (amounting to 24 .. which should definately get me the set… unless I’m super unlucky… which might actually happen). If anyone out there has bought a case of Nendoroid petite, please let me know if I can get the whole set (not including the secret figure) in a case of 12!!

Also, Nendoroid Shana and Hatsune Miku are on my watchlist (pre-order of Miku is already closed at HobbySearch, but Play-Asia still has some, albeit slightly more expensive).

And ohbytheway, Nendoroid.org is a great site with all the GSC Nendoroid released so far. I’m still waiting for the day when a Gurren Lagann Nendoroid set comes out.

Secondly, some funny developments fansub dorama (so what’s new?) over at Chihiro subs. The article itself is short and can be summed up in one line “someone deleted out tracker stuff and we lost all our subs… halp plz!”. Now, I don’t watch their stuff:

I know why everybody, the leader of GG, Jaka, the sicko that impersonated Kristen , and people from deculture and other fansub groups, and a whole entire moron convention, are ganging up on Chihiro. It’s because, like I said in the end of episode 8 of Elfin Lied, “when you’re miserable, you need something that’s even more miserable than yourself.” And since you can’t find anything more miserable, you decide to make some one else miserable. It’s why and how bullying exists. When people are miserable, they seek to make someone else more miserable to make themselves feel better and superior. I was bullied when I was young, so I know. Those faggots killed my dog. T.T

And last, but not least a LOL JAPAN video (someone’s got alot of talent and even more free time)

And Jet Li? Augh I hate him and yet, I like him. Probably 8 years ago, he really annoyed me. I don’t know why! Every… single… thing about him annoyed me, from Romeo Must Die all the way up to Unleashed. In recent years though, I’ve grown to accept him more, especially after watching Hero and Fearless.

Anyways, this joint collaboration between Chan and Li was rumored back in what? 2002? When I heard Chan and Li had a movie together I decided I was going to watch it, I didn’t even know what the movie was called or what it was about. I was going to watch it (secretly hoping Jackie Chan will kick Jet Li’s ass).

So things I noted during the movie:

• When Jackie Chan started speaking English I had Rush Hour flashbacks (you know, Chris Tucker assumed Chan didn’t know English) and I love how everyone in ancient fairytale China can speak English.
• Drunken boxing cause Chan was pretty cool to watch, and he fits the role so well cause he actually does look kinda drunk when he smiles.
• Li has some craaaaazy ass laugh (for those of you who have watched, I’m talking about the part after he fights Chan).

Its a shame the story was so weak, a Chan and Li movie could of been EPIC. Totally EPIC. I only went to watch this for the Chan vs Li fight. If not for those two, I probably wouldn’t of even given this movie a second thought (maybe unless they casted Stephen Chow instead of Jet Li, just maybe). But you know what? Even though the plot had more holes than a piece of swiss cheese , it’s an enjoyable movie if you forget about the plot. Just switch off your brain and enjoy the ride.

Kinda like watching Die Hard, but instead of explosions and crap you get some kung-fu!

Multi-author blogging works since I don’t have that much time on my hands. I can blog about Druaga there, and make random two sentence comments on other anime airng this season without having to write the post myself. So go check them out! Hopefully I’ll have time to at least finish off that spring cleaning part 2 post that’s been sitting there… lacking screenshots and I’m too damn lazy.

In other totally unrelated news, my kitchen will be getting a fix soon (the walls were so bad some of the cupboards were starting to fall off the wall? O_o Expensive though.
