Yep, according to this article, Tales of Vesperia will finally be getting an EU release. With Spanish (?) subtitles and English & Japanese dual audio!?

[22:46] <@Ci> but it kind of makes me think why the fuck does an asian release have no J audio when a SPANISH RELEASE does.
[22:46] <@Cokematic> LOL
[22:46] <@Cokematic> agreed
[22:46] <@Alkenshel> ooh ooh i know I know!
[22:46] <@Alkenshel> trolling?

[22:52] <@Alkenshel> maybe the board meeting for that went something like
[22:53] <@Alkenshel> “okay, so do we release dual audio for the asian release?’
[22:53] <@Alkenshel> “hell no, they’re asians, they’re probably sick of the japanese stuff. ENGLISH IS GOOD.”
[22:53] <@Alkenshel> “maybe we can make a killing with the japanese audio in the european release! YEAH!”
[22:53] <Zeroblade-> “YEAH, WE KNOW OUR MARKETS BETTER THAN THE CONSUMERS DO”

That be some major trollin’ there Atari (Atari will be doing the EU release). At least the English voiceover for ToV was good (actually I would daresay the English voiceover was excellent), but I’m a giant fart and would of loved the J Audio as well. And I’d be really pissed if Star Ocean 4 had dual audio, the English voiceovers make my ears bleed something awful.

I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY, MANGA :(((((

Btw the EU release date for ToV and SO4 is June 2009, but seriously, who the fark cares.

  1. So just get the EU one. What’s the big deal. XD

  2. a) I already have the Asian version
    b) region codes

Unless you want to buy me a PAL 360 :D

  3. No, I am not happy. I bought a NTSC X0 to get my hands on Vesperia as I couldn´t wait any longer. So…

But how well knowledgable is that site? Has it gotten anything else right?

Cause I do not see Namco releasing a Tales of game with Japanese audio as it would be their first time ever doing so.

  4. Shitty thing is that they couldn’t just put J-Audio across all versions of the game. I mean, look at Enchanted Arms, Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata.

    FUCK.
